# Bridging to Core

Before bridging to Core, you’ll first need to add the Core Mainnet RPC details to your wallet client. You can do this by heading to [Chainlist for Core Mainnet](https://chainlist.org/chain/1116), connecting your wallet, and clicking on one of the “Add to Wallet” buttons to integrate the Core Mainnet details into your wallet.

## Bridging from Bitcoin to Core via coreBTC Bridge

### Setup Wallet Extensions

* **Unisat Wallet Browser Extension**: Required for managing your coreBTC. Note: Unisat is supported on desktop and has an Android wallet app. [Download UniSat](#)
* **Metamask**: Necessary for interacting with the Core blockchain. [Download Metamask](#)

### Minting coreBTC

* **Visit coreBTC Website**: Navigate to [coreBTC Bridge](https://bridge.coredao.org/coreBTC).
* **Specify Conversion**: Indicate conversion from Bitcoin (coreBTC) to coreBTC.

### Connect Wallets

* Connect Unisat Wallet to link your Bitcoin wallet.
* Enter the receiving Core blockchain wallet address in Metamask.

### Transaction Details

* Enter the amount of coreBTC you wish to convert.
* Adjust the fee rate based on urgency and network demand.

### Verification

* Double-check all details including amounts, fees, and wallet addresses.

### Mint Transaction

* Click 'Mint coreBTC' to initiate the conversion.

### Add Token

* Select 'Add coreBTC to your wallet' in Metamask.

## Bridging from EVM to Core via LayerZero

### Access Bridge Interface

* **Visit Core Bridge Website**: Navigate to [Core Bridge Interface](https://bridge.coredao.org/bridge).

### Understand Bridge Functionality

* **Asset Types**: Initially uses a mix of native OFT assets and wrapped assets, transitioning to native assets as soon as possible.
* **Supported Assets**: Initially supports USDC, USDT, and WETH.

### Core Faucet for New Users

* **Requirement**: Must be bridging over 10 USDT to Core.
* **Automatic Deposit**: Core will automatically deposit \$CORE into your wallet after bridging.

### Manage Gas Fee Volatility

* **Fixed Deposit**: The amount of Core deposited is fixed and does not vary with network gas fees.
* **Note on High Fees**: If gas fees rise, wait until they are reduced to execute transactions.
